Perceptions are what precede communication. People use their perceptions to draw information about the world around them (Ing, 2013). Porter, Samovar, and Stefani (1998) stated that perceptions may be divided into three components: values (beliefs and attitudes), social organization, and worldview (Ing, 2013).
